%X A short and efficient chemoenzymatic synthesis of the title compound has been developed. The salient features of the synthesis were i) preparation of the required chiron via a porcine pancreatic lipase (PPL) catalyzed esterification of a ¦Ø-functionalized 2-alkanol and ii) use of easily accessible and inexpensive materials/ reagents.
