Two-wave mixing experiments and light-induced absorption chan ges experiments in (Cu,Ce)∶KNSBN crystals were carried out. The two-wav e coupling gain was measured to be as large as 10cm-1.(Cu,Ce)∶KNSB N exhibits strong intensity and polarization-dependent absorptions at red wavel ength. Light-induced absorption coefficients of up to 0.53cm-1 and 0.26cm -1 were obtained using an Ar laser pump beam for the extraordinary and ord inary probe beams, respectively. The results indicate that the two-center charg e transport model is more appropriate for KNSBN. %K photorefractive materials %K KNSBN %K light %K induced absorption
