%X 用Bi_2O_3作为助熔剂,在坩埚可加速旋转的单晶炉内成功地生长出GdBiIG单晶体.将单晶体沿(111)面切割、磨抛成薄片状样品,以磁光调制倍频法测得近红外波段(0.9~1.7μm)磁光旋转谱;并同其它几种稀土铁柘榴石材料相比,发现GdBiIG的磁光优值大,是制作非互易光学器件较为理想的法拉弟旋转介质.
