%X 1275 specimens treated in this study were collected from the Nanao Island, during 1974-1975. The maturation process of the gonads is described and figured. Based upon the external morphological variations of the ovary, testis, nidamental gland, acessory nidamental gland and albumen gland, etc., five stages are determined: immature, mature and puerperal.
