%X Technology evaluation and selection of key technologies are significant for the medium and long term industrial technology strategy and the sustainable utilization of water resources in China.In our research,an integrated model of industrial water conservation potential analysis(IWCPA model) was developed to evaluate technologies for industrial water use from the base year 2002.On the assumption that water demands of water-intensive industries have zero growth,key technologies of water use in water-intensive industries were selected;comprehensive evaluation was used to determine their application priorities,and an optimum inventory of technology applications was established.The results show that a breakthrough in the research,application and promotion of key technologies is needed in order to reach the industrial water conservation potential and improve industrial water efficiency in the next 15 years.
