%X The prawn culture in netted pond is conducted on the middle and low tide zone with the net sticked in the low dam. This cultural method has the advantages of being easily built, lowcost because of flood and ebb tides, saving a lot of energy, good water quality, preventing the occurrence of prawn disease and improuing of feed utilization. Certain problems can also be solved such as pollution and bottom worn-out in the cultural areas. In 1986, 100mu netted ponds were built, harvesting prawn about 16141.5kg and making a profit of 126855.66 yuan. This is a new way for prawn farming with high output, good quality and low production cost.
