%X Anaerobic hydrogen fermentation has been extensively investigated recently with the focus of the new research being how to maintain stable and continuous hydrogen production and achieve a high yield. This paper reviews the new developments in the studies of hydrogen-producing bacteria,the pre-treatment of seed microorganisms,the hydrogen fermentation reactor and analysis of the microbial community based on both domestic literature and foreign journals.
