%X In this paper, the corrosion of and protection measures for oil platforms in Bohai Bay are discussed. The platforms which have been used for over ten years in Bohai Gulf have widespreadly suffered from severe corrosion. Some of them have been abandoned. The platforms, however, built in recent years and followed the accepted protection standards and specifications, are markedly strengthened.
