The effects of different factors, including pH, initial chloramines concentration and flow rate, on chloramines decay rates were investigated. pH shows impact on chloramines decay, and the lower pH leads to higher chloramines decaying rates and more significant Cu release from pipelines. Chloramines decay obviously accelerates at higher initial chloramines concentration and more Cu release is accordingly observed. Flow rates have no obvious effects on chloramines decay. First order kinetic model fit well with chloramines decay processes under different conditions, which could be valuable for chloramine residuals prediction in engineering practice. %K chloramines %K copper pipe %K distribution test loop systems %K decaying kinetics
