%X The adsorption of Cu2+ and Cd2+ onto montmorillonite modified with an anionic surfactant (sodium dodecylsulfate,SDS) was investigated. The organic montmorillonite was examined by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR),X-ray diffraction (XRD),scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS).
