%X The effluents from two typical wastewater treatment plants in Dongguan City in Guangdong Province were studied to measure the byproducts produced in chlorination of municipal wastewater.Chlorinated Organic Compounds(COCs) in the effluents were analyzed by GC-MS before and after adsorption onto selected Powdered Activated Carbon(PAC).The analysis showed that the raw effluents contain various COCs,such as dichloromethane,chloroform,carbon tetrachloride,bromodichloromethane,dibromochloromethane and nitrodichlo...
