%X A life cycle assessment was carried out to discuss the environmental impacts of four types of macromolecular materials: PE, PP, GPPS, PVC. The research indicated that the environment impacts of these materials were not only related to resource consumption, but also with to respective techniques. Several different impact assessment methods were adopted to analyze the environmental impacts of the four types of macromolecular materials. The results showed that the absolute value of environmental load was different with different methods, but the ranking of environment load was almost uniform.
