%X Adsorption plays an important role in the fields of aquatic chemistry and water treatment. This paper reviewed the progresses achieved in the research field of adsorption and introduced some important experimental techniques, theory calculation method and models used to explore the adsorption mechanisms at the solid/water interface, and showed the trend of related research. The development, application and combination of them will enhance the research of adsorption at the solid/water interface, which was helpful to know the nature of pollutant migration and retention in aquatic environment, and was instructive for development of new efficient adsorbents.
