%X The concentration of atmospheric SPM in Japan is generally low, but relatively high concentration SPM accidents the place frequently in some specific areas.The high SPM10 concentration in winter was determined in tokyo gulf area.The results show that there is regional SPM10 pollution in Japan which has reached same level as that in highly polluted cities in China in the 1990s.It is expected that the high SPM10 concentration is caused mainly by artificial pollution.The contributions of waste incineration and automobile emissions are the most important factors.It is quite different from the coal burning atmospheric pollution in China.
