%X Taken benzene as model organics, the bench scale tests and flow tests on the treatment of drinking water by ACF combined with electrokinetics method was studied. The result demonstrated that the electrokinetics method could effectively improve the removal efficiency of organics and bacteria by ACF and reduce their contents in effluent. The flow tests also demonstrated that the electrokinetics method could greatly increase the utilization ratio of ACF's adsorption capacity and prolong the working life of ACF in drinking water purifiers.
