%X A bacteria stain T6 was isolated from activated sludge of Upperwards Flow Anaerobic Filter in the treatment process for wastewater from PTA production. The bacteria utilized PTA as its only carbon source and 91% of the PTA in the wastewater could be removed. The effects of temperature, pH value and original biomass on the degradation of PTA were investigated as well.
