%X According to system engineering principle, an index system for comprehensive evaluation of the impact of large hydroelectric projects on environment and ecology was suggested. Based on the system, a classification procedure and relevant standards for evaluating the degree of the influence on environment were proposed and a weighted multi-level linear model and a fuzzy comprehensive judgement mathematical model were also introduced. The methods were applied to evaluate the environmental impact of the project at the Three Gorges.
