%X The bioaccumulation and biodegradation of BPA were investigated with Cyclotella caspia, one dominant algal species selected from Shenzhen Futian mangrove. The results showed that the alga had a weak capability for accumulation of BPA. With BPA at 6.00, 8.00 and 10.00 mg·L-1, the bioaccumulation amounts and the bioconcentration factors(BCF) reached the maximal level on day,16, with 0.01, 0.13 and 0.14 mg·g-1 for 0.15%, 1.18% and 0.16%, respectively. Also, C. caspia showed some biodegradation capability to BPA. After a 16-day incubation, about 22.39%, 26.44% and 10.28% of BPA was degraded in the cultures supplemented with 6.00, 8.00 and 10.00 mg·L-1, respectively, giving an average biodegradation amount of 0.08, 0.18 and 0.06 mg·L-1·d-1.
