%X This paper has systematically studied both the characteristics and the movement of the mobile suspended pollutants in the mainstream of Tumen River.The study was based on a large number of data collected from years' field work, and adopting the basic methods and principle of hydrology, hydrodynamics, geomorphology as well as Quaternary Period geology. With the help of an electronic computer, a model was set up for quantitation of tailing movement during both the flood and non-flood seasons.The paper also provides a reliable basis for forecasting the environmental quality of Tumen River.
