%X The kinetics of deep oxidation of butane,trans-butene and cis-butene-2 on Pt/Al2O3 catalyst has been investigated by a flow-recirculatiqn glass reactor. The kinetics of the reactions was found to obey the L-H model. The parameter values of the kinetic equation were estimated by the method of orthogonal design. A pulse method was used to discriminate the L-H model and to determine the adsorption heats of butane, trans-butene-2,cis-butene-2 and oxygen. The rate of CO2 formation during the oxidation might be described by the equations (11).
