The results showed that formaldehyde could induce DNA breakage at low concentration(P<0.01); the breakage could be inhibited markedly by mannitol, DMSO and SOD, which were the scavenger of ?OH and O?-2(P<0.01). But the mannitol and DMSO was more powerful than SOD. It concluded that formaldehyde could assuredly induce DNA breakage through ROS, and the breakage could be repaired completely in 90 minutes. %K Formaldehyde %K DNA breakage %K Free radical scavenger %K Repair
