%X A pot experiment was conducted to study the effects of different humic acid materials on organic combined mercury and total mercury contents in soil and the biological availability of soil mercury. The results indicated that different humic acid materials significantly increased organic combined mercury and remained mercury in soil, reduced the volatility quantity of soil mercury, and therefore decreased the biological availability of soil mercury. Comparing to CK_ 2 , which was only added with HgCl_ 2 , the absorption quantities of rape to mercury in treatments added with humic acid sodium, purified weathering coal humic acid, soil humic acid, ammonified weathering coal, weathering coal, lignite coal and peat decreased 73.62%, 71.11%, 63.39%, 40.05%, 33.61%, 22.26%, and 5.66% respectively.
