%X The transformation of species for hydroxyl polymer is a key problem of inorganic polymer flocculants. Their morphology should consist of the processes in research and development, production and application. There are two main aspects of the speciation for aluminum polymer: hexagonal rings model and tridecameric Al model. The multi functonal parameter hydrolysity is more useful than basicity. Ferron timed complexation spectroscopy is a practical method for speciation of hydroxyl polymer. The formation and stability of Al 13 are important research topics. The mechanism of flocculation for inorganic polymer is at the position between the traditional coagulants and the organic flocculants.
