%T A Study on the Removal of Mutagens from Water by Various United Water Purification Processes

%X The source water and effluents of five kinds of water purification process were studied by Ames tests,the results show that bioceramic can remove direct mutagens partly,and decline the MR value of the raw water.As the doses were 1L/plate water and 0 5L/plate water,the MR value of TA98 decreased 40 2% and 41 9% from the raw water,respectly.B,C,E processes including units of bioceramic and activated carbon were the most effective to remove direct mutagens from water,the MR values of TA98 and TA100 were below 2 under the tested doses.The molecular weight distribution of organic compounds through various unit of water purification in processes B was detected by membrane filtration,the result shows that the units of process B can supplement each other to remove organic compounds,the total rate of removing organic compounds of different molecular weight was over 77%.
