%X The connotation of comprehensive national power (CNP) was studied, the relationships between CNP and other related notions were comparatively analyzed, and the process for the study of CNP was reviewed. Based on the principles of sustainable development and the idea of ecosystem services, the concept of comprehensive national power for sustainable development (CNPSD) was proposed, and the main significance of CNQSD was discussed.
