%X Starting from the equation for two-dimensional concentration distribution of instantaneous dumping, a linear equation Y=AT+B was mathematically deduced, in which variables Y and T can be expressed with e. c. and C2t, while coefficients A and B 31 e composed of parameters of Dx and Dy to be determined, longitudinal and transverse flow velocities of the river u and v as well as ;he coordinates of the observation point X and Y. Throughlinear regression, A and B can be determined from Ci and Ti, the observed experimental data. Then Dx and Dy can, be calculated by solving the equation.
