%X The toxicological effect of Cr(VI)on some biochemical parameters in pepper were studied both in soil culture and in nutrient cultural experiments. The treatments of the heavy metals decreased fresh weight and promoted senescence of the pepper plant by decreasing chlorophyll and activities of superoxide dismutase and catalase as well as increasing iron content and peroxidase activity over control values.
