XPS,ellipsometer,QCM-D and contact angle data confirmed the self-polymerization process of DOPA and subsequently self-assembly monolayer formation of CGREDVDY. In cell adhesion experiments, both endothelial cells ( ECs) and smooth muscle cells ( SMCs) exhibited improved attachment on DOPA modified PTFE surfaces,but the surfaces did not have noticeable preference between the two cell types.
