%X 2,3-Butanediol production from Jerusalem artichoke tubers by Klebsiella pneumoniae was investigated.Shaking flask cultures were performed in order to study the effects of different carbon sources and trace elements on the fermentation of 2,3-BD.The results showed that Jerusalem artichoke was an excellent carbon source for the production of 2,3-BD, which provided more than 42% higher concentration and productivity of target products, compared with glucose used as carbon source.Moreover, there was no distinct...
