郑淑国 %A 朱苗勇 %J 过程工程学报 %D 2006 %I %X The residence time distribution(RTD)curves become a very popular means of characterizing the melt flow in multi-strand tundishes to optimize the fluid flow and the flow control devices.For the melt flow in multi-strand tundishes,the inclusion removal as well as the similarity among the strands should be considered.Since there is no well-known approach to quantify the similarity among the strands in multi-strand tundish,a new approach for quantifying the similarity among the strands was proposed.And its reasonability was discussed by comparing it with other approaches conventionally used,by means of the measured results of a physical model for a six-strand tundish.As a result,the new approach proposed is better than the others in quantifying the similarity among the strands,as it takes each point of the RTD curves of each strand into consideration. %K multi-strand continuous casting tundish %K melt flow %K similarity among the strands %K physical modeling
