%X A novel distributed optical fiber sensing system was proposed.The monomode fiber and impulse light source were exploited.So the multi-responses of interference beams were extracted when they passed sub-ring different times.It is proved theoretically and experimentally that the position of vibration occurred in the main ring,which is caused by breakage event outside,can be detected by comparing the amplitude of multi-responses.The function of definite locating was indicated.The position detection does not depend on the frequency characteristics.
