%X The concept of phase-flipped Gaussian (PFG) beams was extended to phase-flipped higher-mode beams.Taking the phase-flipped Hermite-Gaussian (PFHG) beams as an example,the recurrence propagation equations of PFHG beams through a paraxial unpertured ABCD optical system and through an ABCD optical system with a knife edge and an aperture were derived and used to study their propagation properties.In particular,for TEM1-TEM2-and TEM3-mode PFHG beams the conditions,under which the aperture effect was negligible,...
