%X A method for the detection of diffraction rings in the laser spot was introduced.The diffraction rings were detected and localized in gradient domain.The probably locations of the diffraction rings were detected by the gradient direction information and validated by the gradient information.Also,the exact locations of the rings were found.The validity of method was tested and verified by applying to a simulated laser spot image with diffraction rings.The results show that the method isaccurate.
