潘剑侠 %A 王帆 %A 杨建义 %J 光子学报 %D 2008 %I %X The linearity property of microrings-asisted Mach-Zehnder optical modulators is analyzed,in which loss is taken into account,and the general equation for the condition that the 2nd and 3rd-oder harmonic terms of the modulation characteristic are both zero is derived.It can be found that,for the single-ring- and two-ring-assisted cases,the configurational parameters for the linearized Mach-Zehnder modulators can be directly calculated from analytical formulas.With this analytical formulas,the characteristics of the microring-assisted Mach-Zehnder modulators are investigated. %K Integrated optics %K Optical modulator %K Mach-Zehnder interferometer %K Linearized modulation %K Optical microring resonator %K All-pass filter
