%X A measurement which can calculate viewing angle of rear projection system is introduced.It can be used to scale performance of rear projection system.Viewing angle not only depends on rear projection screen,but also on optical engine and viewing environment.The relation of contrast and angle is determined by combining all these three effects.The viewing angle is calculated by the least contrast people can accept.The measured data proves that the view angles calculated by the measurement approach to the actual ones.By experiment,the new method based on the calculation of viewing angle has more efficiency and practicality in the design of rear projection system.
