%X The relevant preparation techniques, micro-structural characters, high temperature protection performance and their application of coatings for gas turbines hot section parts were introduced in the present article. The coatings include simple aluminides, modified aluminides and MCrAlY overlayers etc. Special attention was stressed on some new type coatings such as NiCr-CrAl composed cementation, Co-Al co-cementation, JT-G type Cr-Si-Al slurry co-deposition, and EB-PVD thermal barriers etc.,on their characters and especially on their prospects for practical application.
