%X The investigation of recording holographic phase grating on azobenzence polyester film with polarization holography has been done.The influence of different polarization holographic modes,different azobenzence polyester materials and different exposure times also have been explored and analyzed both theoretically and experimentally.After the experiments,the best situation has been confirmed.Under the situation,phase grating can be formed while the effect of surface topology by the movement of molecules is limited maximum.And then the kind of rewritable phase grating has been fabricated.This kind of phase grating can be made easily.Its grating coefficient can also be changed easily.The grating is stable at room temperature and can endure repeated writing-erasing process.It has wide applied foreground in the fields of integrated optics,optical wave-guide technology and optical communication.
