%X The variation rule of chromatic dispersion induced phase error of the beam former based on dispersion devices is studied using an intensity-frequency modulated model. Based on the phase error, the maximum dispersion limitation is presented when the phase precision is 0.5 ps. It is also shown that there exists an optimal frequency modulation index that makes the system dispersion tolerance maximum. When the intensity modulation index increases, the optimal frequency modulation index increases.
