%X Fran the amsideration of the mlecular structure of a corrosion inhibitor infecting its inhibition the N, N, N' ,N'-tetrakis-(2-ber~ziidazolymethyl )-1, 2-ethanediarnine (BIEA) which may be an adsorption-type h~ghly effective organic corrosion inhiitor (AHNOI) to be studied has been synthesized. The Inhibition efficiencies of the BIEA for the Fe and the steel respectively in 4 ml/L HCl at 50'C were determined as 91. 2 % ,when the concentration of the BIEA was 120X 10-~ml/~. The results fran polarization data have h that the BIEA can inhibit the anodic and cathodic process of the iron in the acidic solution.
