%X Adsorption of cetyl pytidinium chloride (CPC) on aluminium in 0.5 mol/L KCl + 0.5 mol/L HCl solution was studied by electrochemical and SERS methods. It can be drawn that cetyl pytidinium chloride supresses both the anodic and cathodic reactions by means of geometric blocking effect.The whole molecule of CPC is electrosorbed in a parallel orientation.
