%X The degradation of three finishing systems,carbon steel/paint,magne sium alloy/paint,magnesium/chromate conversion coating(ccc)/paint,was studied by salt spray test.The result showed that painted magnesium alloys blistered mu ch more quickly than painted carbon steel while painted magnesium alloys with ch romate conversion coatings showed good anticorrosion properties.The result was analyzed from the aspect of the adhesion of metal/coating interface.Paint base such as chromate conversion coating was necessary to the paint finishing of magn esium alloys.
