%X The progress of corrosion resistant chemical conversion coatings on aluminum and its alloys were reviewed in details.The mechanisms of coating formation and corrosion resistance were analyzed.The paper also discussed the possibility of displacement of chromate conversion coatings process for aluminum alloys on the basis of comparing the protective property of various conversion coatings and the treating process.
