%X The electrochemical behavior of active dissolution of aluminum in 0.5 mol/L NaCl solution was studied by potentiodynamic method and potentiostatic hydrogen gathering measurement. When the solution was added with metal ions with high hydrogen evolution overpotential such as Zn 2+ , Sn 2+ , Ga 3+ and In 3+ , the active potential of aluminum moved negatively and the negative difference effect (NDE) of aluminum during anodized dissolution decreased, indicating the synergetic action of Zn 2+ and In 3+ . The mechanism of aluminum activation and NDE were investigated by EIS measurement. The results showed that aluminum negative difference effect was caused by the chemical reaction of low valence Al + in solution when the metal ions with high hydrogen evolution overpotential were added in the solution.
