%X The chemical composition,phase constituent and microstructure of corrosion scales of different bronze samples of artifacts were characterized with X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electronic microscopy (SEM),X-ray energy dispersive analysis(EDAX) and optical microscopy(OM).Results showed the samples which had bronze disease consisted of paratacamite.And the cross section of corrosion scales of bronze artifacts showed layered microstructure with special feature and components.In addition,it is revealed that the bronze disease may be due to pitting and crevice corrosion.
