%X Seven pure Mannich bases were synthesized, their corrosion inhibition for 20# carbon steel in 1 mol/L HCl solution was examined by using weight loss, polarization resistance and polarization curve measurements. The effect of the chemical structure of Mannich bases on their corrosion inhibiting action had been explored. Results indicated that the chemical structure of Mannich base had influence on their inhibition efficiency. PAP was the best inhibitor among them.
