%X Lithium ion battery is a new type of clean and highly effective chemical power source.The recent research progresses of carbon negative electrode materials were summarized in this paper.The advantages and disadvantages of various carbon materials such as graphites,mesophase carbon micro beads,highly specific capacity carbonization materials,petroleum cokes,and nano carbon materials were analyzed.The application of one dimension nano carbon materials for lithium ion batteries is specially reviewed.
