%X An offshore Quaternary sequence consisting of at least ten marine and terrestrial deposits have been identified through previous study and of borehole WB7, a continuously sampled borehole from the West Lamma Channel, Hong Kong. Two tables of worldwide and regional correlation with the local sequence identified are presented.The oldest marine and terrestrial deposits are thought to date back at least to the fourth last interglacial and fifth last glacial periods respectively. Tentative correlation are made with magnetostratigraphy, oxygen-isotope stratigraphy, nannofossil zones,stranded beach-dune sequence of South Australia, marine terraces in Indonesia and New Guinea, United States mid-Atlantic coastal plain sequences, loess stages and marine transgressions in China, and, onshore and offshore deposits in southeast Asia.
