%X In spite of the scope and depth of GIS application, the relatively weak spatial analysis function is one of the major difficulties in GIS application. In this paper, the basic characteristics of spatial data and the basic needs of spatial data analysis in GIS were analyzed. The spatial statistics, the exploratory spatial data analysis as well as its flowchart in interactive use were presented, and the spatial models of several categories were introduced. Also the necessity of integration between GIS and spatial models was discussed, the ways to their integration were presented and demonstrated. At the end the problems in the integration between GIS and spatial models were discussed, and some ways to solve them were briefly suggested.
