Dagang area is chosen as an example in this paper to test the validity and applicability of integrated geophysical methods. On the base of analysis of rock physical properties, the distributions of gravity basement, magnetic basement, and residual thickness of Pre-Cenozoic group in the study area have been obtained by forward computation and inversion methods. The distribution of residual Pre-Cenozoic group in the study area is characterized by thickening zones in the east-west direction. It is obviously affected by later pressing stress in NW-SE direction. The boundary area between Chengning uplift and Qikou depression is an area with greatest residual thickness of Pre-Cenozoic group. Overthrust tectonics from south to north is in existence in this area. It is beneficial for Pre-Cenozoic hydrocarbon accumulation. %K Residual basin of Pre-Cenozoic %K Residual thickness %K Gravity and magnetic methods %K Dagang area %K Oil-gas resources
