林振山 %A 汪曙光 %J 地球物理学报 %D 2004 %I %X We develop an analysis method of empirical mode decomposition (EMD) applicable to nonlinear and unstable data. Our purpose is to study the periodical change and the response of the climate system to solar radiation on a obit scale in Pleistocene time. Our result shows that eccentricity band signal is much larger than previously estimated, i.e. 1% on solar radiations, and comparable with the precession and obliquity band signals. We should reconsider the role of solar radiations in the formation and maintenance of quaternary ice sheet cycles. %K Solar radiation %K 100ka %K Empirical mode decomposition %K Eccentricity
